School Bus Rock – Canada Live

I saw live shows from every band and individual featured in this playlist! A couple were in stadiums, a couple in smaller venues and a bunch in a bar. Platinum Blonde and Teenage Head are two examples of bands I’ve seen in both large stadiums and in a more intimite setting like a bar! Some of these artists got fairly big, but some did not achieve the monumental success they were capable of.

A PERSONAL TEENAGE HEAD STORY

The Teenage Head show I had seen in the bar was after I had seen them in Vancouver at the Pacific Coliseum where they opened for The Boomtown Rats. The bar show was so much better! With the stadium I was several hundred feet from the stage. In the bar I was about than 10ft away! Near the end of the show at the bar somebody threw a beer bottle and hit Steve Marshall, the bassist. Steve was about 10ft in front of me and to my left. I saw he was glaring at someone behind me and to my left. I looked and it was a guy about an arms length away. Steve kept glaring at him for two more songs. Those were the two last songs of the night. As soon as Teenage Head finished the last song, Steve put his bass softly on the stage. Next thing I know, he is flying through the air, just over my left shoulder, and targeting the bottle thrower! It was quite an exciting ending to a great night of music from Canada’s premier punk band!
